Grant Coordinator

Position Title: Grant Coordinator
Department: Strategic Research & Data Team (Strad)
Reports To: STRAD Team Manager /AGP
Position Summary
The Grant Coordinator will manage the implementation of a centralized grants program to support organizational priorities. Based within the Strategic Research and Data Team, this role is responsible for managing the full lifecycle of grant development—from opportunity identification through drafting submission and reporting—while coordinating efforts across departments and affiliates.
This position will establish and manage the systems, processes, and relationships necessary to secure external funding and sustain a high-performing grants team.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead execution of the organization’s centralized grants program
- Identify, evaluate, and prioritize funding opportunities aligned with strategic initiatives
- Manage and maintain a comprehensive grant pipeline and submission calendar
- Oversee the development, writing, and submission of grant proposals
- Draft, edit, and format grant proposals and supporting materials
- Coordinate across departments and affiliates to gather programmatic input and align submissions
- Establish and maintain internal processes for grant development, review, and approval
- Ensure compliance with all grant requirements, including reporting and documentation
- Track grant outcomes, funding secured, and program performance metrics
- Provide regular reporting to leadership on grant activity and results
- Build and maintain relationships with funding agencies and partners
- Develop standardized templates, tools, and internal guidance for grant submissions
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in grant writing, grant management, or related field
- Demonstrated success securing competitive funding (government and/or foundation)
- Strong project management and organizational skills
- Excellent writing, editing, and communication abilities
- Ability to manage cross-functional coordination and competing priorities
- Experience in labor, workforce development, or nonprofit environments preferred
Additional Information
This is a full-time salaried position. The Strategic Researcher must be able to travel as needed and perform work involving extended computer use, meetings, trainings, and campaign support.
Pay: $120,000 per year
