Reports To: Deputy Director
Salary Range: $75,000 – $90,000

TradesFutures is the only national nonprofit organization exclusively dedicated to increasing access to high-quality union construction careers through our network of 200+ Apprenticeship Readiness Programs. We partner closely with workforce organizations, community-based partners, and building trades councils to implement the Multi-Core Craft Curriculum (MC3), strengthen local program quality, and expand pathways to Registered Apprenticeship opportunities in the unionized construction industry.
Position Summary
TradesFutures is hiring a Senior Manager of Program Quality to strengthen the quality, consistency, and effectiveness of apprenticeship readiness programs across its network. This role will design and facilitate communities of learning, deliver targeted training and technical assistance, and foster collaboration among program staff and partners. The position will also oversee dedicated[MZ1.1] programmatic relationships and performance monitoring, ensuring that organizations in our network are supported in implementing high quality, effective programming.
Technical Assistance and Program Support (50%)
- Design, implement, and facilitate communities of learning for apprenticeship readiness programs to promote best practices and peer learning
- Deliver practical and engaging training sessions to program staff and leaders in the TradesFutures network that expand program capacity and strengthen workforce outcomes
- Coordinate with and oversee contractors to provide individualized technical assistance and coaching to program staff, aligned with community of learning goals
- Build and manage relationships with programs to provide tailored support to address operational, instructional, and partnership-related challenges[MZ2.1][MZ2.2]
- Oversee select program relationships including annual performance monitoring and ongoing support to ensure alignment industry best practices[MZ3.1][MF3.2][MZ3.3]
- Facilitate presentation and knowledge-sharing activities among program staff and partners, including in-person convenings and team sessions
- Manage peer-to-peer coaching and network connectivity and relationships[MF4.1]
Research and Strategy (30%)
- Collaborate with leadership on the design and implementation of organizational priorities and strategy
- Contribute to the design of new initiatives that contribute to organizational priorities
- Conduct research on industry trends and best practices that inform program strategy and standards
- Provide timely updates and analysis of policy and industry trends that impact organizational and network strategy and practice
Grant Management and Fundraising (10%)
- Programmatic grant management as needed
- Contribute to the development of funding proposals and funder reporting as needed
General Support (10%)[MZ5.1][MZ5.2]
- Support additional in-person and/or virtual presentations to internal and external audiences at partner meetings, funder briefings, and organizational events
- Attend and staff organizational and partner events and trainings, as needed
- Collaborate closely with program leadership and cross-functional staff, participating actively in team planning and coordination
Qualifications and Attributes:
- Minimum 6 years of relevant experience required
- Demonstrated project management experience
- Ability to build strong relationships with diverse stakeholders (government agencies, nonprofits, unions, contractors)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, experience delivering effective technical assistance and training sessions
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Experience with CRMs such as HubSpot or Salesforce [MZ6.1]
- Experience in a union construction background highly preferred
