Western Communications Lead

Will operate out of the nearest SRCC training center/union hall, or our New Orleans, LA headquarters 

 

The Southern Regional Council of Carpenters is looking for a Western Communications Lead to join our team.

We represent eleven states in the Southeast and are currently recruiting for a Communications Lead to work with our members in Louisiana, Arkansas, Texas and Oklahoma. While not required, living in one of these states, especially the New Orleans area is a plus.

The Western Communications Lead will report to the Director of Marketing and Communications for the Southern Regional Council of Carpenters as well as Council leadership.

The ideal candidate is experienced in the following:

• Social media content creation, advertising, and management. 
• Experienced in press relations, including writing press releases and press relationships
• Familiarity with the Adobe suite and/or Canva. 
• Fluent in AP Style 
• Writing for mass email and text programs
• Experience with the labor movement, non-profits, or political campaigns preferred. 

The starting salary is $60,000 and benefits with a hybrid schedule. Western lead will operate out of the nearest SRCC training center/union hall, or our New Orleans headquarters depending on proximity.
