Temporary Staff Organizer

Based in Providence, RI

AFT-RIFT Local 6516, representing workers at Brown University in Providence, RI, seeks a Temporary Staff Organizer to aid in an ongoing campaign. Duties will include identifying workplace leaders, training and mentoring volunteer organizers, and having organizing conversations with workers. You will work at the direction of the Local 6516 Executive Director. 

Candidates should have at least 2 years of experience either as a volunteer organizer or in a staff organizer position. The duration of this position will be from mid-to-late-January 2026 to 5/29/2026. Health insurance with full premium coverage will be provided by the local. The salary for the position will be $6,000 per month.
