Staff Representative

Based in Western PA

PASNAP is currently searching for smart, motivated individuals who want to help workers fight for better working conditions, dignity on the job, and improvements in healthcare for all as a Staff Representative in Western PA.

The ideal candidate:

• Worked full time representing union members, preferably in healthcare, with demonstrated success at contract negotiations, grievances, and arbitrations.
• Ran effective contract campaigns, identifying and recruiting member leaders, organizing membership participation by developing and implementing strategies to involve union members in activities that build the union’s capacity.
• Create effective internal communications and build external relationships with political allies, the community, and other constituents.

Responsibilities include:

• Prepare for and conduct collective bargaining, grievance processing and arbitrations.
• Work with and developing member leaders to represent nurses and healthcare professionals in employment-related matters.
• Build effective local organization with power to fight and win workplace improvements.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of three years’ experience as a Staff Representative
• Willingness to work long hours, including nights and weekends.
• Broadstripes and/or other database programs a plus. 
• Automobile and valid driver's license. 
• Willingness and ability to travel to other parts of the state.

Salary range is $83K – $136K depending on experience.
