We're Hiring: Temporary Phone Bankers (San Diego, CA – Hybrid: In Person & Remote). Help Mobilize the Filipino Community for the SD County Supervisor District 1 Special Election!

The Pilipino Workers Center (PWC) is looking for passionate, outgoing, and community-driven individuals to join our Phone Banking Team for a temporary outreach campaign focused on raising awareness about the San Diego County Supervisor District 1 Special Election. Our goal is to encourage voter turnout among Filipino registered voters aged 18–50!

Job Details:
Position: Temporary Phone Banker
Location:

• Mondays: In person at our Chula Vista office
• Wednesdays: Remote

Schedule: Mondays & Wednesdays June 16 – June 30, 2025
Hours: 1:30 PM – 6:00 PM (with a 30-minute unpaid break)
Orientation: 1 mandatory 2-hour session (Date TBD)
Pay: $25/hour
Commitment: 4 hours/day, 6 days total + 2-hour orientation

Responsibilities:

• Make calls to San Diego-based Filipino registered voters aged 18–50
• Share information about the special election and encourage voter participation by July 1st
• Track outreach results and feedback
• Work collaboratively in a supportive team environment

Preferred Qualifications:

• Friendly, outgoing, and a people person
• Team player with a passion for community advocacy
• Strong communication skills
• Tagalog fluency is preferred but not required
• Interest or background in organizing or civic engagement in the Filipino community
