Membership Data Manager
Location: Miami Florida
Salary Range: $50,000 – $65,000

AFSCME Florida 979 Organizing Committee is a labor organization representing thousands of employees across the state of Florida with labor and employment matters. We are currently accepting applications for a Membership Data Manager. The Membership Data Manager will manage and assist with the timely processing of dues and membership rosters in Unionware and UPAY Unionware dues processing tool. This position reports to the 979 Director or their designee.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Manage the operation of AFSCME membership and dues information database.
  • Monitor success and unsuccessful dues payment in UPAY
  • Run finance reports from UPAY for stakeholders.
  • Assist members in adding or changing payment information in UPAY.
  • Manages the tracking and distribution of Dues and Bargaining files for processing. Supervise membership data entry team to monitor progress of monthly entry of membership rosters and bargaining unit files.
  • Evaluate and monitor the flow of member dues files and bargaining unit files into Unionware.
  • Assist data entry team with the input of membership and bargaining unit data.
  • Assist Leadership in preparation of data reports.
  • Document business processes and procedures.
  • Oversee data processing workflow.
  • Oversee training and support for staff.
  • Ensure the integrity and confidentiality of database.
  • Other duties as required.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or Statistics and two (2) years of experience working in a data-related position; OR equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
  • Ability to troubleshoot any data-related problems.
  • Excellent data management knowledge.
  • Effective communication skills as well as an ability to explain complex, technical information in a nontechnical, easy-to-understand way.
  • Must have the ability to relate to and work with diverse groups of people; ability to work independently within the context of a plan.
  • Familiarity with Unionware and/or Access Databases a plus.
  • Experience managing clerical staff a plus.
  • Experience working in the labor movement, or advocacy groups.
