Labor Relations Representative

Title: Labor Relations Representative
Reports to: President and Executive Director
Staff Category: Full-time, Professional Field Position in Eastern Pennsylvania, New York and Maryland
Qualifications:
Five (5) or more years of related experience in collective bargaining, labor relations and as a union representative. Public sector experience a plus. Experience with contract interpretation, handling grievances, and working with local bargaining units to resolve workplace disputes. Contract negotiations background preferred. This position requires strong writing, organizational and communication skills with the ability to manage and prioritize deadlines in a dynamic and changing environment, both individually and as a team member.
Compensation:
Competitive salary, depending on experience, plus car allowance, and an extensive benefit package; dental insurance, vision insurance, hearing insurance, health insurance, life insurance, AD&D insurance, EAP, paid time off, and 401(K) retirement savings plan.
Position Summary:
Provide superior service to union membership. Involved with conflict resolution, problem solving, communications, contract negotiations, managing grievances, and organizing activities. Represent local bargaining unit membership in all employment related matters. This position requires traveling to worksites throughout eastern Pennsylvania, New York and Maryland. A valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and a car are required.
