POSITION SUMMARY & RESPONSIBILITIES: Working under the direction of IT & Database Coordinator, this individual will be part of the Data Management team which supports the entire state and statewide departments including all divisions and contracts and enforcement. We are looking for a proactive and detail-driven individual to become an integral part of our team. This role is essential for maintaining the functionality and efficiency of our Salesforce platform, enabling smooth data management and supporting the organization’s strategic objectives.

Examples of Duties:

  • Maintain and optimize our Salesforce instance, including user accounts, profiles, roles, security settings, and data integrity.
  • Provide end-user training to ensure effective use of Salesforce tools and features.
  • Assist in the development of training materials and provide support to users on Salesforce best practices.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve Salesforce-related issues, providing timely and effective support to users.
  • Develop and maintain custom reports, dashboards, and workflows to support business needs.
  • Work with team members to reconcile data synchronization between Salesforce and external systems using Dataloader or manual data entry – identifying and resolving discrepancies.
  • Create and maintain detailed system documentation.
  • Develop and implement data migration strategies.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of new Salesforce features and functionality.
  • Write and maintain app scripts and scripts to automate tasks and improve efficiency (e.g., Google Apps Script, PowerShell).
  • Work closely with other IT staff to ensure seamless integration with other systems.
  • Proactively identify and address potential risks and issues within the Salesforce environment.
  • Participate in regular system upgrades and maintenance activities.
  • Analyze data using Excel and Google Sheets to identify trends and insights.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS: Graduation from an accredited college or university in relevant field or equivalent experience in labor & community organizing that would provide for the following knowledge of, skills & abilities.

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Computer Science, Information Systems) or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience as a Salesforce System Administrator.
  • Strong understanding of Salesforce administration concepts including security, data management, and customizations.
  • Fluency in SQL.
  • Proficiency in using Excel and Google Sheets.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience writing and maintaining app scripts and scripts (e.g., Google Apps Script).
  • Working knowledge of PowerShell scripting.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work in fast-paced and diverse team environment.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to travel to other work sites in California, ability to work extended and irregular hours, and work remotely
  • Valid drivers’ license, use of a car for work, and specified automobile insurance coverage are mandatory
  • Work is generally performed in an office setting with prolonged periods of sitting and work on computer.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish (written & verbal) is highly preferred but not required
  • All employees are required to be fully vaccinated and report their vaccination status as a condition of employment.
  • All employees must abide by USWW Safety Guidelines, including the required use of face covering while working.
