Bookkeeper / Accountant

Based in Farmington, CT

 

Approx. 10 hours/week, independent contractor

The UConn Health Chapter of the American Association of University Professors (UCHC-AAUP) is seeking a part-time Bookkeeper/Accountant contractor to begin as soon as possible.

This position will be 100% remote.

Working with UCHC-AAUP requires a commitment to racial and gender equity and involves working with diverse individuals both inside and outside of the organization.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will report directly to the Executive Director and take responsibility for performing the union’s accounting functions, including but not limited to: A/P, AR, GL payroll/pension processing, insurance coverage oversight and compliance, reconciliation of accounts, scanning and filing.

Qualifications:

• Advanced knowledge of QuickBooks Online;
• Experience with Google Workspace;
• Experience with human resource duties, including ADP;
• Experience performing bank reconciliations;
• Experience problem-solving with vendors and governmental agencies.

Compensation: $40/hour
