Database Engineer

Based in Wheat Ridge, CO

 

UFCW Local 7 stands 23,000 members strong, building power and advocating with workers in Colorado and Wyoming in Grocery Stores, Packing Houses, Food Processing Plants and Meatpacking, Barbers and Cosmetologists, Cannabis, Counselors, and Healthcare facilities. UFCW Local 7 is looking to fill the Database Engineer position at our Wheat Ridge headquarters.

The position is responsible for providing a variety of assignments.

Primary Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Access Database administration, design, development, and support applications available systems.
• Continually updating and enhancing the automation process of the database.
• Resolve complex problems by investigating and devising solutions for database operations. May include installations, configuration, tuning, and maintenance od database management.
• Ensure data quality and consistency through rigorous testing and validation processes.
• Develop, write, and execute scripts or programs to support ad hoc requests for data.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Advanced proficiency with SQL
• Experience with Access and other basic database types
• Demonstrated ability to learn proprietary software
• Ability to effectively communicate with employees who have a wide range of technical abilities
• Must be able to work flexible hours on occasion
• The ability to work independently and as a part of a team
• Passion for labor rights and/or social justice

Salary Range: $75,713.04 - $130,188.76 per year
