Part-Time Visa Administrator
Based in New York City, NY
The American Federation of Musicians represents professional musicians playing in orchestras, bands, clubs, motion picture/television, and theater—both on Broadway and on tour throughout the United States and Canada in 177 local unions. The International Union seeks a Part-Time Visa Administrator to work in the Immigration Services Department processing Visa applications and advisory letters.
Skills Required:
- Ability to work with Microsoft Office 365 Suite and Google Spreadsheets.
- Aptitude to be trained in the details of advisory letter concepts to create letters that can be filed with the USCIS.
- Excellent customer service skills, including strong communication skills for telephone inquiries and good written communication for addressing questions via email.
- Knowledge of music industry standards and practices is desirable.
Salary: $25/hour plus AFM Employers’ Pension Fund benefits. 21 hour per week commitment. Advancement within the AFM is possible from this position.
