Executive Assistant to Governance and Management
Based in Washington, DC
The Federal Education Association (FEA) is seeking an Executive Assistant to Governance and Management to provide administrative support to FEA Officers, the Board of Directors, and the Executive Team. This role also manages governance functions and executes event logistics.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide administrative support, including correspondence, scheduling, and travel arrangements.
- Manage governance functions, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and procedures.
- Plan and execute association events, including conferences and elections.
- Support communications by maintaining the website, social media, and internal messaging.
- Train local affiliates on election procedures to ensure compliance with Department of Labor (DOL) requirements.
Skills Required
- Expertise in Microsoft Office and familiarity with social media platforms.
- Experience in event or project management within associations or labor unions.
- Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to prioritize workloads effectively.
- Paralegal education and/or comparable experience.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with respect for confidentiality.

This is a non-bargaining unit, confidential position. The salary range is $50,000 – $75,000, based upon prior experience. Fringe benefits include hybrid work schedule; vacation and sick leave; holidays; health, dental and a 401(k) plan.
