Part Time Education Specialist
Based in Plymouth Meeting, PA

PASNAP is currently searching for a Part Time Education Specialist to work across departments to coordinate and collaborate on issues in nursing practice related to legislation, regulatory agencies, workplace or negotiations and to engage members.
Responsibilities include:
- Coordinate with staff to track member participation in education programs, assist in efforts to increase participation and identify needs for the development of new training and workshops.
- Coordinate the development and implementation of union-wide, membership-based education and practice programs that are integrated with the rest of the union strategic plan.
- Inform and educate staff and member leaders regarding practice, education and other applicable developments that may affect the union.
- Engage members and staff to ensure all members are trained in their roles as representatives of their Union.

- Facilitation of new members getting into membership orientation and offering to current members.
- Ensure member engagement for being comfortable and confident in performing their roles.
- Train representatives how to represent members in employment matters, prepare cases for arbitration.
- Assists with the development of a program, curricula, training materials and provides instruction for new union officers Local Executive Boards, worksites leaders and union activists.
- Participate in educational opportunities.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in nursing.
- Minimum of five (5) years’ experience with labor unions.
- Prior experience as a teacher or trainer.
- Ability to travel, and to work nights and weekends on occasion.
- Demonstrated ability to multitask, use databases and technology.
- Demonstrated ability to facilitate projects and teams.
- Proven success in high paced and time sensitive projects.
- Proficient in scholarly writing including grammar, spelling and punctuation.
- Experience working with management in a union setting.
- Experience negotiating/administering/interpreting contracts.
- Must be self-directed, maintain schedule and workload.
- Able to work independently and within a team.
The salary range is $38.5K - $62.5K depending on experience. (PART TIME)
