About the Position
We are seeking a highly motivated, skilled, and principled individual to join our team as a Data Analyst. As a Data Analyst, you will be responsible for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting sets of data, identifying patterns and trends, to assist our Members, Staff, and Executive board in making informed operational decisions. You will be expected to maintain a high degree of confidentiality and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to support strategic initiatives and drive organizational growth.

KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Collection, maintenance, organization, and processing of confidential member information
  • Collecting and organizing sets of data from various sources
  • Cleaning and preparing data for analysis.
  • Analyzing data using statistical techniques and tools
  • Develop reports and analysis from single or multiple systems.
  • Creating visualizations and reports to present data and findings to our members
  • Interpreting data and making recommendations to management
  • Collaborating with other departments and teams to ensure data is being used effectively.
  • Staying up to date with new developments in data analysis and technologies
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree in related field (equivalent combination of certifications, education, training, and experience may be substituted in lieu of education requirement)
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in data analysis or related field
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in the use of NGP VAN in an organizing environment
  • Excellent analytical and creative problem-solving skills
  • Strong technical knowledge of database software, Microsoft Office Suite (specifically MS Excel), and Google Workspace
  • Experience using MS SQL and Query Builder
  • Experience with R & Python
  • Experience in administration of databases and ability to train staff in their use
  • Understanding the uses of member data in a union context
  • Demonstrated excellent communication/customer service skills
  • Ability to work with people in a wide range of roles, including union and employer staff, union members, and others.
  • Fluency in Spanish/Amharic a plus

SALARY & BENEFITS

  • Salary range of $59,418.32 to $75,269.48 based on experience.

Accident, disability/life insurance, short-term and long-term disability insurance is also provided at no cost to employees. Our generous employer paid benefits package is valued at nearly 40% of an employee’s salary.
