The Education Fund is a non-profit partnership between SEIU-UHW, other unions, and healthcare employers; on a mission to accelerate the careers of over 100,000 eligible healthcare workers through innovative education and training solutions. We have a bold strategy to position the Education Fund as the trusted accelerator in healthcare education.
Principle Purpose of Job: Coordinates and leads projects related to Education Fund services and programs. Provides career and education counseling to learners interested in advancing in the healthcare field. Works collaboratively across departments on various tasks such as vendor management, budget, timeline, organization, and the flow of information.
Level of Authority: Performs duties as directed, following general policies and procedures.
Work Environment:
- Work is performed in an office or virtual environment dependent on location. Must live in Denver, Colorado area.
- Travel is required.
- Will attend or lead meetings with stakeholders (Union staff, Human Resources, Vendors, Staff, Learners, and other Ed Fund collaborators).
- Fast-paced office setting with frequent interruptions.
Essential Job Functions:
Incumbent must have the skill, ability, and judgment to perform the following essential job duties and responsibilities, with or without reasonable accommodation:
Project Management:
- Lead the work within the region by collaborating with multiple stakeholders to prioritize and execute Education Fund programs and services.
- Must demonstrate a passion for representing the Education Fund and work with stakeholders.
- Responsible for creating and monitoring budgets for regional programs and services, including grant-funded opportunities.
- Able to develop relationships quickly and effectively – creating promoters, champions, and partners both at the client/stakeholder organization and internally at the Education Fund.
- Establish strong client partnerships, driving partner loyalty by providing an excellent customer experience for a portfolio of clients/stakeholders.
- Responsible for contract management, ensuring all aspects of the contract deliverables are met. Identify potential vendor partners.
- Responsible for coaching learners using strong instincts and certified coaching methods to listen for and identify potential risks, then create a successful plan.
- Deliver reporting, facilitate meetings, identify success measures for our stakeholder partnerships, and share insights and feedback to support ongoing improvements.
- Organize and prioritize projects, work on multiple tasks simultaneously and to exercise initiative to meet/exceed deadlines.
Data Management:
- Ensure data quality for learners’ electronic files. Will enter appropriate case notes, enrollments, and other data needed in CRM systems (Salesforce, Cal JOBS, AGS Prime, etc.).
- Provides weekly/monthly or as-needed reports on data quality and accuracy, completeness, and integrity.
Learner Service & Information Liaison:
- Communicate effectively and timely across all Ed Fund departments and teams across multiple platforms (Slack, Zoom, Asana, etc.) while staying on top of multiple streams of information and aligning with deadlines.
- Act as a liaison between learners and multiple Ed Fund departments to ensure smooth and timely processing. Respond to learner concerns and questions.
- Coordinate the analysis and results of learner satisfaction surveys emphasizing improving programs and services.
Qualifications and Capabilities:
- Multilingual (Spanish preferred).
- Experience in Project Management concepts or PMP certification preferred.
- BA/BS degree preferred.
- Workforce Development experience in the healthcare labor market is necessary.
- Technology savvy. Database and project management applications (Adobe, Zoom, Salesforce, Asana, Cal JOBS, and more).
- Strong judgement and decision making on when to handle issues independently vs. when to consult with their manager. Ability to work independently and as a team member.
- Collaboration as a core value and skill-set, and the ability to influence and lead with teams and individuals across the organization and at the client
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Builds trust quickly.
- Strong data analysis skills are a must.
- Must have a valid California Driver’s License, use a vehicle, and maintain an appropriate level of car insurance.
Physical Demands:
- Ability to sit at a workstation for extended periods.
- Ability to stand, work, and drive from one location to another.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 35lbs.
