About SEIU NJ State Council
SEIU New Jersey is a statewide political voice of New Jersey working families that are dedicated to building a better New Jersey by fighting for policies and candidates who benefit working families and advance the issues we care about. The SEIU New Jersey State Council’s mission is to improve the lives of New Jersey’s working families by fighting for living wages, safe working conditions, and fair schedules. We promote health care for all, pensions, and advancement opportunities. We aim to win back the American Dream for thousands of hard-working members and their families. We use our collective power to build coalitions, advocate, lobby, and hold elected officials accountable. The Council is composed of unions representing service employees across the state, including health care, warehouse, laundry, and school cafeteria workers. Our diverse membership includes motor vehicle inspectors, resident physicians, and municipal employees in the state’s largest city. We’re stronger together!
