Organizing Coordinator

Based in Ontario, CA

About the Position
The Warehouse Worker Resource Center is seeking a qualified Organizing Coordinator to lead a team of organizers to build power and organization among non-union warehouse workers in Southern California. The Organizing Coordinator will lead one of the most consequential organizing campaigns of our lifetime supporting workers at major retailers like Amazon and Walmart.

There is no other warehousing hub like California’s Inland region. The Inland Empire handles the majority of goods that enter through the twin ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach, which is about 40% of imported goods to the United States.
More than 200,000 people work inside of warehouses in the Inland Empire Metro area – at least 40,000 of them for Amazon alone. That means one in ten working residents in the area works in a warehouse and one in five warehouse workers works for Amazon.

The Organizing Coordinator will help workers define the future of the Inland Empire.

Note that the WWRC is currently only seeking either an Organizing Coordinator OR a Lead Organizer. Please read each position description and apply for the one that you are most qualified.

About the Warehouse Worker Resource Center
The WWRC is the premier worker organizing center in the Inland Empire with a track record of changing the logistics sector through strategic organizing, education and policy. The WWRC is a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the lives of the thousands of workers in the supply chains of major retailers across Southern California through education, advocacy and action. We educate workers and community members about their rights in the community and the workplace. We support workers with administrative claims and refer workers to legal support when they encounter legal violations at work. We work on local and statewide policy, and campaign for justice in the supply chains of major retailers.
