Development Coordinator
Based in Ontario, CA
About the Position
The Warehouse Worker Resource Center (WWRC) is seeking a proactive Development Coordinator to support and manage fundraising activity. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with developing and executing our nonprofit’s fundraising strategy, and communicating, cultivating and stewarding current and prospective donors. The Development Coordinator will spend their time working closely with the Executive Director to achieve fundraising goals. Note that WWRC is currently only seeking either a Development Coordinator OR a Development Director. Please read each position description and apply for the one that you are most qualified.
Duties
- Develop and produce foundation and government funding proposals and contracts
- Manage grants calendar and ensure the submission of proposals and reports are received in timely manner
- Develop case statements, program proposals and grant budgets
- Oversee the administration of funder database for both foundations and individual donors
- Develop and grow individual donor funding (We use Action Network.)
- Develop fundraising campaigns including direct mail campaigns, special events, monthly donor program, phone banking and other strategies
Experience and Qualifications
- 1-3 years nonprofit development experience
- Excellent writing skills and ability to develop narratives for grant applications and reporting
- Experience of familiarity with worker and community organizing and advocacy a plus
- Strong time management and work planning skills
- Experience of familiarity with 501(c)(3), 501(c)(4) and 501(c)(5) structures a plus
Salary and Benefits
Salary range $62,500 – $70,000 depending on experience
Full family medical PPO, dental and vision coverage
Vacation leave accrued at 12 days per year in the first year
14 paid holidays per year
