Job Description:
UFCW Local 3000 is currently looking for energetic people who want to make a difference in people's lives and be part of building a progressive labor movement. Organizers-in-Training will work alongside UFCW Local 3000 staff on an organizing campaign to develop union organizing skills. Organizer-in-Training is a part-time temporary position with a bi-weekly stipend, wages and an option to enroll in benefits.

Successful candidates must be:

  • Willing and excited to learn from experienced organizers
  • Able to work and communicate with diverse groups of people
  • Committed to building power with working people and to the fight for racial, social, and economic justice
  • Equipped with writing skills and general computer literacy

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior retail/service industry experience
  • Cantonese or other language skills

The OIT role requires in-person work to be conducted around Seattle and King County.
