We organize the unorganized, fight for racial and economic justice, and are committed to rebuilding a healthcare system that works for all.

The job
We are hiring a Researcher to work on campaigns that build worker power. We will be working on organizing and contract fights, campaigns to improve our healthcare system, and coalition work with union, community and faith groups.

Qualities and skills needed

  • Passion for and commitment to the struggle for workers’ rights
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to adapt work product for a variety of audiences
  • Curiosity, open mindedness, and a willingness to learn
  • A reliable vehicle and driver’s license
  • Willingness to work long and irregular hours

Reporting
This position reports to the Policy/Research Director.

Responsibilities:

  • Strategic research for all sectors of a multi-state healthcare union
  • Helping to craft campaigns that keep the union on offense, in the workplace and the political sphere
  • An ability to lend support to different parts of the union as necessary

Compensation
Salary is commensurate with experience. Position includes excellent health and retirement benefits.
