Data Training Support Specialist

Based in New York City, NY

SEIU 32BJ is looking for a Data Training and Support Specialist to join the data analytics and strategy department.  The job is based at the union’s headquarters in New York City. People of color and women are encouraged to apply.

Our members have fought for and achieved high standards for private and public sector property service workers, and we continue to fight for higher standards for thousands of unorganized service workers.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Provide in person and online trainings to staff across the union on various data tools such as mobile apps, data entry forms, CRM software, and campaign dashboards.
  • Troubleshoot issues, implement best practices, follow up with, and support staff in their usage of data tools
  • Ensure data integrity via identifying and fixing discrepancies in our systems/databases
  • Manage the internal ticketing system, assign incoming requests to the proper people, analyze frequent issues 
  • Pull lists and reports on an as needed basis
  • Assist with data collection and entry procedures to ensure consistency and expand organizational efficiency, feedback
  • Providing campaign-related data management and analysis during contract, political and organizing campaigns


  • Computer skills and the ability to learn internal data and workflow systems. Familiarity with Microsoft Excel is required, VAN and auto dialing software is a plus.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and comfort breaking down complex topics to a diverse group of users with varying technical skills
  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously both independently and as team member
  • Detail oriented and well-organized
  • Experience in the labor movement, organizing, or political campaigns a plus
  • English/Spanish bilingual speakers are strong plus
