Workers are taking bold action in increasing numbers to respond to unprecedented economic inequality, demanding social justice, and building a future where average people have a voice in our lives, economic security, the hope of ecological survival, and freedom. Time and again, we see the daring and innovative leadership of tech workers on the front lines of these struggles, from game worker and Googler walkouts to stamp our sexual harassment and violence in the workplace, to the climate strikes, to workplace actions to end complicity in ICE internment camps, family separation, and the facilitation of war crimes.

These efforts continue through the courageous efforts of workplace leaders who are building organization to change our lives. These workers are organizing with their union, the Communications Workers of America (CWA) a dynamic, militant, member-led union that is building a movement for social and economic justice. Through CWA’s Campaign to Organize Digital Employees (CODE-CWA), workers from tech start-ups to AAA game studios, platform companies with global monopolies to indy game developers, freelancers, and worker co-ops have formed unions and are building a movement for worker power across the technology, media and communications (TMC) sector of the economy.

To continue these efforts, CWA seeks a highly experienced and motivated campaign organizers to coordinate one of the most dynamic organizing efforts across the labor movement today. These organizers will lead campaigns among software engineers, IT professionals, artists and designers in gaming, new media and high tech workplaces to build power.

The ideal candidate will have experience running multiple organizing campaigns with professional workers, and industry work history. They will have the organizational and strategic skills necessary to inspire and activate workers to take action.
