Data Processing Agent

General Statement of Duties:

  • Data Processing - Format and process incoming membership data.
  • Database Administration - Maintain and administer multiple databases.
  • Security - Responsible for security, safety, and confidentiality of information under their control.
  • Performs related work as required.

Qualifications

  • Commitment to the labor movement and progressive social change.
  • Education/experience: Equivalent 4-year college, training or work experience in both web-based CRM and MS access data base programming and administration.
  • Fluency in SQL and/or Python preferred.
  • Candidate must have the ability to work effectively with limited guidance from managers.
  • Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • An insured, registered vehicle and a valid drivers’ license are required.

Supervision Received:
Works under the supervision of the Membership and Data Coordinator, who reviews work for effectiveness, timeliness, accuracy and conformance with rules, regulation, and common sense.

Supervision Exercised:
May supervise interns directly; may on occasion provide functional supervision for membership information specialist and other employees or members.

Examples of Duties:

  • Format and process incoming membership data into a CRM database.
  • Respond to data requests on an ad hoc basis.
  • Attends staff meetings and other related meetings as required.
  • Act as support role in union activities.
  • Perform work with accuracy and in a timely manner.
  • Performs related work as required.

Salary & Benefits:
This is a union bargaining unit position. SEIU Local 509 offers competitive salaries (commensurate with experience) and a generous benefits package. Salary range is $78,000 to $91,000 based on experience.
