Warehouse Workers for Justice (WWJ) is a worker center fighting for good, living wage jobs among the thousands of transportation and logistics workers in the Chicago area, the largest intermodal logistics hub on the planet. Our work blends union and worker center models, focusing on long-term leadership development, alliances with community organizations, and development of innovative organizing tactics.


  • Supervise a team of field staff who will engage in extensive worker outreach, including outreach centering on workplace rights/Know Your Rights education, public-health and vaccination outreach focusing on COVID-19, eviction prevention and tenant outreach, and workplace-focused outreach in support of specific campaigns
  • Host virtual and in-person workshops and community events in support of outreach goals
  • Coordinate with organizing team and other staff members to ensure overall organizational priority needs are met
  • Responsible for ensuring program deliverables and goals are being met on a monthly basis
  • Responsible for completing monthly grant reports
  • Assisting in debriefing staff and assisting in developing raps
  • Assist team in growing and guiding WWJ leadership committees
  • Assist in the professional development of field staff
  • Assisting in Staff Development and Training
  • Assist Executive Director in maintaining relationships with funders as well as identifying new funding opportunities


  • Previous organizing supervisory experience preferred
  • Ability to make and execute a workplan
  • Experience developing and executing field plan
  • Experience assisting field staff in developing field plan
  • Ability to work independently
  • Willingness to work long hours, including some nights and weekends
  • A working vehicle and a valid drivers' license
  • Basic computer and writing skills
  • A strong commitment to social justice
  • Spanish speaking a plus

Salary 55k-68k a year depending on experience. Benefits and car allowance are provided.
