Philadelphia Joint Board of Workers United

Inside Organizers

Based in the greater Philadelphia, PA area

Do you want to be a part of building power with workers? Are you hoping to develop organizing skills suited to the task? Then apply for one of our openings as an inside organizer!

The Philadelphia Joint Board of Workers United initiates worker-centric and staff-supported union campaigns under the guiding principle that labor organizing is a joint worker effort where every worker has a role to play.

We represent workers across many industries — laundries and warehouses, garment factories and restaurants, manufacturing plants and non-profit organizations. We have launched the Greater Philadelphia Organizing Project (GPOP) to increase worker power within and beyond these industries, and are looking for people passionate about organizing for social and economic justice to participate in these efforts.

Candidates with a background in the service industry-- restaurants and cafes-- are encouraged to apply! Ability to speak Spanish is a plus, but not a requirement.

Zero organizing background or experience? Not a problem, these openings are intended for people early in their organizing development. Please apply!

PJBWU is an Equal Employment Opportunity employer and actively recruits people of color, women, individuals with disabilities, and members of the LGBTQIA+ community.
