Jobs with Justice San Francisco

Campaign Coordinator

Based in San Francisco, CA
(during shelter in place, work will be REMOTE)

Jobs with Justice San Francisco (JWJ) is an alliance of 30 labor and community organizations, whose members include teachers, nurses, city workers, service & hospitality workers, seniors, people with disabilities and youth. We believe that workers don’t lead single issue lives -- working families need secure jobs plus affordable healthcare, housing, quality public education and just immigration policies. By building a strong multiracial and multi-issue alliance rooted in long-term relationships and solidarity, we have the power to win significant policy and system change to empower workers and communities of color.

Job Purpose
The Campaign Coordinator develops and implements strategic coalition campaigns to advance workers’ rights and economic justice in San Francisco, with regional and statewide coordination and impact. The coordinator will be responsible for their own set of campaigns among those prioritized by the JwJSF coalition. Their organizational priorities will also include building power by strengthening solidarity between coalition organizations, member turnout and grassroots fundraising.

The coordinator is an integral part of a collaborative staff team that develops, plans, coordinates, and wins collective coalition campaigns. The coordinator contributes to the overall strategic direction of the coalition by supporting the coalition’s overall annual campaign planning processes, and providing direct insight into this process.

As part of a small team, it’s important that staff members are able to work collaboratively with good communication skills and with the flexibility to take on different projects in often fast-changing conditions. Being able to take initiative and work independently is also key.
