Program Coordinator
Labor-Management Trust Fund

Based in Washington, DC

A Labor-Management Fund is seeking a detail-oriented professional for the position of Program Coordinator.

Reporting to the Administrator and working closely with staff, the Program Coordinator will be responsible for utilization of the Fund’s customized fringe benefit processing program. He or she will be responsible for entry and validation of fringe benefit packages based on collective bargaining agreements, and for the maintenance of a database of associated benefit funds. The Program Coordinator must be able to quickly learn new computer-based programs and be proficient with Microsoft Office (specifically Microsoft Excel). He or she also needs to be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.


  • Prepares source data for computer entry by compiling, sorting and validating information.
  • Processes account source documents by reviewing data for deficiencies and resolving discrepancies.
  • Maintains fringe benefit contribution packages in custom software program.
  • Provides support on the database of affiliated benefit funds.
  • Enters customer and account data by inputting alphabetic and numeric information on keyboard or uploading comma-delimited text from various sources.
  • Works with development team to resolve program issues.
  • Delivers technical support to end users of the Fund’s customized program.
  • Works with affiliated organizations and contractors to upload data into customized program.
  • Performs accounting and clerical functions in support of the Fund’s customized program and overall operations.

Minimum Required Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • AA in Accounting, Business Management, or related discipline
  • Familiarity with collective bargaining agreements, and fringe benefits reporting and processing.
  • Ability to interpret, analyze and comprehend plan documents.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, thorough attention to detail and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • 2-3 years related work experience

Additional Qualifications

  • The following qualifications are preferred but not required:
  • Background in and/or experience with, building trades’ unions and/or the construction industry
  • Knowledge of, or fluency in, Spanish
