About This Role
The Training Coordinator holds a crucial position within our Member Resource Center, making a significant impact on our operations. This role demands meticulous attention to detail in crafting, delivering, and enhancing new hire and ongoing training programs for our Center. By working closely with the Directors, Managers, and Coordinators, you will strategize, create, and refine curriculum content to make sure our representatives are thoroughly versed in the services we offer to our members.
In this role, you'll be adept at engaging with teams, conducting needs assessments, executing training sessions, devising reinforcement strategies, and consistently evaluating processes and procedures to drive improvement.
Essential Functions:
- Develop curriculum and design training courses for Training Partnership and Union.
- Help Desk coverage, cross-training among coordinators to provide coverage when needed.
- Administer training for designated groups to deliver, project, and motivate trainees through effective training methodologies in group and individual classroom dynamics.
- Conduct needs assessment, identify performance gaps, and implement training best practices to ensure alignment with department needs.
- Collaborate with internal and external business partners to create program-specific course content.
- Evaluate the success of training implementation by assessing learning objectives and knowledge transfer to improve training solutions and continuously identify future learning needs.
- Utilize a variety of techniques, concepts, and delivery of training programs and strategies
- May be required to do political work for candidates and member political education as part of job duties.
- Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications: (Any equivalent combination of education and experience which provides the applicant with the knowledge, skills, and abilities required to perform the job may be considered.)
- Associate degree and/or three (3) years of direct customer service or any equivalent combination of education, training, and work experience.
- Classroom Management - ability to address any conflict that might come up during training.
- Use of learning management systems or e-learning platforms.
- Willingness to work long and irregular hours when needed to meet job demands. Some travel might be required
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in curriculum development, instructional design, and training facilitation/delivery.
- Experience evaluating training effectiveness, identifying performance gaps, and using feedback or performance data to improve learning programs.
- Experience developing and delivering training in a contact center, customer service, union, nonprofit, or mission-driven environment.
- Bilingual or multilingual skills relevant to the membership and communities served.

- Professional office and contact center environment with regular collaboration among MRC leadership, coordinators, representatives, and internal and external partners.
- Work involves developing, facilitating, and evaluating new hire and ongoing training programs while managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Regular facilitation of classroom, virtual, and individual learning activities requiring frequent presentation, communication, and engagement with trainees.
- Requires flexibility to provide Help Desk coverage, respond to changing training needs, and support department operations as needed.
- May be required work outside of normal business hours to include weekends, evenings, holidays, etc.

- Work is primarily performed in an office, classroom, or remote workstation environment with frequent computer and screen use.
- Regular facilitation of training which may require extended periods of standing, speaking, presenting, or moving throughout a classroom or training space.
- Frequent use of computers, presentation equipment, virtual meeting platforms, and other training technologies.
- May occasionally lift or carry training materials, supplies, or equipment weighing up to 20 pounds.
- Requires sustained concentration and communication while facilitating training, developing curriculum, evaluating learning needs, and supporting multiple participants.
Compensation:
Providing current or previous salary information is optional and will not be factored into hiring decisions. Prospective Employees covered by the CBA can request a copy of the wage scale, the CBA, and any current relevant MOUs upon application to the position.
This position is full-time, exempt. This position is included in the Bargaining Unit. Pay ranges from $87,633 – $104,729 per year. Benefits include vacation, holiday, and sick leave benefits, fully employer paid health, dental, vision, and life insurance, defined benefit pension plan, and optional 401(k), WFH credit, pet insurance, and more.
