OFFICIAL APPLICATION ANNOUNCEMENT

This program is designed for individuals interested in pursuing a career as a cement mason. 

Apprenticeship means professional instruction.  The applications of concrete technology are explored during formal classroom instruction.  First Aid, Safety, Builder’s Level and the latest innovations are all part of the program.   Class work includes substantial hands-on training.  As an apprentice, you will refine your finishing skills under the personal guidance of master craftsmen.

The Western Washington Cement Masons Apprenticeship program is a three year program consisting of 5400 hours of on-the-job training and 504 related classroom training.  The starting hourly wage is 50% of journey level wage.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • At least 18 years of age
  • Legally able to work in U.S.
  • Physically able to do hard work
  • A sincere interest in becoming a quality Cement Mason tradesperson

Applications may be requested by mail, phone, email or in person, Monday-Friday, 7am-3:30pm, and are accepted throughout the year. 

Applicants are invited to participate in our selection procedure twice a year, in March and August.  The selection procedure consists of hands-on testing of skills related to cement masonry, including ability to follow directions and work as a team.  No previous experience is required.
