MEMBER RESOURCE ORGANIZER For more than 75 years, Service Employees International Union has been helping working families stand up for their rights, fighting for dignity and respect in the workplace. SEIU is seeking people with a passion for social justice to be part of an exciting initiative in the way our union helps our members win at work by becoming Member Resource Organizers in the newly established Member Resource Center (MRC). Summary: You will help build a stronger union and improve members’ lives by giving members the information and tools they need to win at work. If you want to fight for quality public services and fair treatment for those who provide them, this job is for you! Description: As a Member Resource Organizer, you will assist members of SEIU public service locals across California with contract inquiries, advice on workplace issues, information about union campaigns and activities or connect them with the appropriate union representative. The MRC uses sophisticated call center and information technology to provide equal access to professional union staff to SEIU member across California, irrespective of which employer they work for, their geographic location or the nature of their inquiry. These positions are located in Pasadena, Los Angeles. Key Qualification Criteria:
Competitive salaries based on staff union contracts will be offered plus comprehensive health and other benefits. The operating hours of the Member Resource Center are 7am to 7pm and organizers will be expected to work within this span of hours. The current position available is part time only.
