LABOR RELATIONS REPRESENTATIVE/ORGANIZER

RESPONSIBILITIES OF LABOR RELATIONS REPRESENTATIVE ASSIGNED TO THE ORGANIZING DEPARTMENT:

• Design and manage internal organizing campaigns to increase and strengthen the membership within existing chapters;
• Design and manage external organizing campaigns to increase the Association's membership through organizing non-represented units;
• Conduct workshops and training programs to motivate and empower the membership;
• Conduct training of the membership in support of organizing and political action;
• Conduct or assist in campaigns to win targeted local elections;
• Assist and direct election decertification, certification, petitioning and organizing;
• Teach political organizing theory and technique and promote the ideals of organized labor.
