STAFF ATTORNEY

UNAC/UHCP, an affiliate of NUHHCE, AFSCME  seeks a Staff Attorney for its San Dimas, CA headquarters.  UNAC/UHCP represents primarily private-sector Registered Nurses and other health professionals in Southern California.  Applicant must have at least two, but preferably more, years of experience in private-sector union representation, excellent research and writing skills, a strong academic record, California bar membership (or willingness to seek it immediately), a demonstrated commitment to the labor movement and an ability to work both independently and in collaboration with union officers, staff and outside counsel.  A background in health care or health care union activism or representation would be helpful.  Very competitive salary (DOE) and excellent benefits.
