Renewable Energy Policy Analyst & Grant Writer

Located On The Bronx/Westchester Border
With Easy Access From Nyc By Train And Subway


American Solar Partners (ASP), a well-established solar power company serving residential and commercial customers in the Northeast, has an opening for a policy analyst to support its regulatory and legislative program, including grant writing. The analyst will work closely with ASP’s senior staff in developing legislative and regulatory policies and grant applications.

Qualifications For The Position

  1. a demonstrated ability to write persuasive memos and presentations for government and legislative policymakers;
  2. strong research and presentation skills, including quantitative analysis;
  3. comfortable and articulate in making public presentations; and,
  4. familiarity with the basic federal and state renewable energy policies.

Education and Experience Required

  1. Bachelor's degree; supplemented with one year of related work experience OR
  2. advanced degree such as a JD or masters in relevant field; 3) advocacy or organizing experience, including issue campaigns or marketing; and, 4) adept with the most common graphics/presentation, video software; outreach via email and social media.

Position Specifics
Starting salary commensurate with relevant experience. Prefer full time though 3/4 time is also a possibility. There is a paid 4-month training program. The company is located on the bronx/westchester border, with easy access from nyc by train and subway.
