The ESEA is currently growing capacity in the Las Vegas metro area and is hiring a small team of experienced temporary organizers and 1 lead organizer to support that growth.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Works well in a team environment
  • Communicates campaign message effectively in one-on-one and small group meetings
  • Organizes new members and builds leadership capacity of the organization within each worksite
  • Meets regularly with member leaders to define assignments and get results
  • Works with staff and member organizers to identify and recruit new members and new leaders
  • Maintains and produces regular organizing reports as determined by campaign assignments
  • Attends and helps run trainings and meetings with activists and leaders.
  • Maintains accurate financial records/expense reports regarding authorized reimbursements and mileage reports
  • Willing and able to work irregular hours (weekend and evening work will be required).

Experience and Skills

  • Experience in organizing, recruiting or mobilizing members and supporters
  • Experience in identifying and developing leaders
  • Experience working professionally in a team and independently
  • Experience conducting assessments, tracking data and producing reports
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in widely used computer programs and technology
  • Demonstrated written and verbal competency in Spanish preferred
