Campus Service Representatives needed to help with Spring 2018 Budget Action

The California Faculty Association is hiring up to five Campus Service Representatives to assist its California State University chapters in preparing for concerted action. The ideal candidate will possess the necessary skills to assist the CFA chapters with the duties listed below. Work schedules will be determined by campaign needs and approved by the organizing director, but may include some evenings and weekends.

Typical duties include:

  1. Walking halls and getting commitments from faculty
  2. Getting information and materials to faculty who will be walking the halls, and get commitments from faculty
  3. Performing logistical assignments such as procuring supplies, delivering materials.
  4. Participating in phone banks.
  5. Signing up faculty for CFA membership
  6. Arranging for refreshments for faculty events.
  7. Staffing sign-in tables
  8. Data entry
  9. Ability to navigate on basic Microsoft office programs (Word, Excel)
  10. Ability to work after hours from home (making phone calls, emailing, etc.)
  11. Ability to work cooperatively with faculty, students and campus organizations.
  12. Possession of valid driver’s license, proof of insurance and own vehicle.
  13. Performing related duties as required.

Rate of Pay: $25 per hour.

Hours of Work: The hours will be approximately 30 hours/week but campaign needs may necessitate work beyond those hours.

Supervision: The CSR reports to lead organizing staff in Northern California.

Duration of Assignment: The work will begin February 23, 2018 and continue through April 5, 2018.
