Carpenters/Contractors Cooperation Committee

The Carpenters/Contractors Cooperation Committee (C/CCC) is a non-profit labor-management organization comprised of the Southwest Regional Council of Carpenters and signatory contractors. The C/CCC is engaged in educational, labor compliance, media outreach and governmental affairs activities aimed at ensuring contractors comply with the law and workers are treated fairly. We are seeking a motivated, hardworking and dynamic public affairs representative to join our team. Recent grads and professionals are encouraged to apply.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Communicate, educate, and build relationships with development and construction industry stakeholders, including elected officials and staff, planning officials, contractors, developers, land-use representatives, industry leaders and community groups.
  • Represent the organization during the land-use planning process and government affairs activities with the goal of presenting information of violating contractors and encouraging the hiring of responsible contractors.
  • Work alongside committee staff in the research, gathering and dissemination of information related to the development and construction industry process.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience using social media and email for advocacy.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and tasks and complete them in a timely manner with minimal supervision.
  • Strong computer skills including familiarity with database and word processing software.
