  • Oversees and manage placement functions related to the effective operation of the Job Security Fund and Employment Center in the Bronx and Manhattan sites: generate quality control reports on a monthly/quarterly basis and provide analysis to Fund leadership
  • Assist director in creation and administration of Job Security Fund Budget to ensure budgets are prepared in timely manner; and compliant within allocated budget
  • Supervise the Job Service Coordinators at the Manhattan and Bronx site; to ensure staff maintain appropriate communications between the union and employers
  • Provide oversight and management of all benefit processing for laid-off members; administers Supplemental Unemployment Benefit stipend for laid-off members and National Benefit Fund health insurance coverage for laid-off members
  • Coordinates the gathering and reporting of statistical data for annual reports and special projects, to include analysis vacancy and placement data
  • Answer a high volume of phone call inquiries to provide information and/or direct to proper area
  • Perform additional duties and projects as assigned by management
  • Must meet performance standards including attendance and punctuality


  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Education, Management or Business Administration, or equivalent years of experience required
  • Minimum six (6) years experience as a recruiter; to include minimum four (4) years supervisory experience
  • Proficient knowledge of MS Word and Excel required
  • Detail oriented with analytical and multitasking skills
  • Superb critical thinking and problem solving abilities and experience initiating policies and procedures
  • Excellent leadership abilities with strong administrative and management skills; able to develop staff, coach, mentor, motivate and create improvement plans
  • Outstanding communication, interpersonal and presentation skills required; able to foster good working relationships with staff, management, union, and other professionals
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of information and the capacity to interact with multiple system environments
  • Ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, plan and coordinate work in a time sensitive environment
