Epicor Accountant

The Dues Department of the Writers Guild of America, West, is currently seeking qualified applicants for the position of Epicor Accountant. This position is a full-time, non-exempt (hourly) position with excellent comprehensive benefits package. The salary range is $45,000 - $61,000 annualized, commensurate with experience.

This position uses Epicor to keep the Accounts Receivable functions running smoothly, including generation of invoices and statements. Under the direct supervision of the Dues Administrator, the Epicor Accountant is focused on maintaining the flow of data between systems (Dues engine to Epicor) and performing AR specific tasks in Epicor.

The Dues Department is responsible for administering the collection and processing of dues and assessments from members in order to generate and maintain operating income for the Guild, enforces dues obligations across the board, and pursues members who are delinquent in the payment of dues.


  1. Provide deep expertise in Epicor functionality
  2. Import and monitor key data sources
  3. Create non-standard AR transactions as needed
  4. Import, post and print invoices
  5. Send invoices (mail and email) to members
  6. Post credit card payments
  7. Deposit checks
  8. Apply payments (create properly formatted file for upload to Epicor, both lockbox and credit card) and adjustments as needed
  9. Issue refunds as required
  10. Monitor transactions in Dues engine; regularly report stats
  11. Prepare payment plan requests for Membership and Finance Committee; set up in Epicor
  12. Review quarter end checklist and take action as appropriate
  13. Perform other duties as required


  1. Must have a college degree in Accounting, knowledge of standard Accounts Receivable accounting practices, and must have three to five years’ experience as a Staff Accountant or the equivalent
  2. Requires an understanding of principles of Accounts Receivable and experience with Epicor’s Enterprise AR module (or similar system)
  3. Requires good data entry skills and ability to generate analytical reports
  4. Requires familiarity with basic principles of database design
  5. Requires ability to create and use Excel spreadsheets
  6. Must have strong organizational skills
