Supervisor: Deputy Director, Communications
Salary: $14-$16/hour

Position Responsibilities:

  • Assist digital communications team by supporting digital tools and other administrative tasks.
  • Monitor social channels and events.
  • Schedule content and pull automated reports around digital activities.
  • Work with digital staffers to create content calendars.
  • Assist in rapid response communications.
  • Responding to email inquiries regarding digital content.
  • Assist with basic website maintenance.

Contribution to AFT’s Mission:

  • Social media, video, websites and other forms of communication have become critical to advancing AFT’s agenda. With this new paradigm, demands on communications staff have increased. By working with digital communications, the candidate will help meet the demand and expand the reach of AFT’s message.

Knowledge/Skills Gained:

  • Advanced use of social media monitoring tools. Proficiency in basic HTML and website maintenance. Familiarity with reporting tools for Action Network, Google Ads, Twitter Ads, Facebook ads and Snapchat filters.
