Location: Headquarters
USU Grade 9
Salary starts at: $76,649

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: Works with stakeholders and the analytics team to develop and maintain data warehouse processes and infrastructure, create analytics products, and build prototypes tools to support programs run by the union.

  • Conducts analysis and provides information used to inform program strategy and decisions
  • Works across departments and projects, communicating technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences clearly
  • Design efficient and robust ETL workflows and processes for data warehouse infrastructure
  • Work with stakeholders on special projects including: polling, modeling, experimental research, data integration, and reporting
  • Administer analytics platforms and tools as needed
  • Scopes projects and writes proposals, building and maintaining project collateral
  • Leads data & analytics projects for from beginning to end

Education and Experience Requirement:
Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a degree in a quantitative field or equivalent preferred.

Skills:
A minimum of five (4) years of related work experience or any equivalent combination of education and experience which provides the following knowledge, skills and abilities:

  • Experience in political targeting and voter contact program.
  • Experience applying statistical techniques in a real world / outcome driven environment
  • Extensive experience with at least two of the following languages: SQL, Python, R.
  • Experience working with ETL processes, data warehouse systems, and best practices involved.
  • Experience leading large projects.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing and must possess good interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Strong problem structuring and solving skills – including data structuring, quantitative reasoning, and development.

Extended Hours and Travel:

  • Some travel, extended work hours and a valid driver’s license are required.
