Duties and Responsibilities
Under supervision, performs highly confidential and exceptionally difficult secretary work; takes and transcribes dictation; performs related work.
Example of Typical Tasks
Participates in and relieves superior of the administrative detail of the office and discharges the usual duties of a secretary acting in a most exceptional and responsible capacity.
Takes dictation and makes transcription of important complex and confidential material.
Types correspondence and reports for other employees in Division.
Records proceedings and statements of meetings and conferences, prepares the agenda and makes necessary arrangements for same.
Prepares and edits correspondence and reports. Screens telephone calls, messages and incoming materials.
Maintains the superior's private and other office files, maintains the record of the schedule of activities and keeps the superior informed of pending matters and appointments.
Supervises personnel as assigned in the performance of their tasks.
Plans, assigns and reviews work of subordinates, and is responsible to superior for the satisfactory completion of the work assigned.
Applicants must have knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
