Director of Negotiations

The Writers Guild of America, East seeks to hire an experienced contract negotiator. The primary duties will be to function as lead negotiator on both first contracts and renewal agreements. Lead negotiating experience is required.
The Director of Negotiations will work directly with employees in various bargaining units in broadcast and digital news and in nonfiction/reality television. The Director of Negotiations will be required to take the lead role in preparations (including surveys and drafting), in negotiations, and in ratification. S/he will work closely with and manage other WGAE staff, typically including organizers and field representatives. This position will report directly to the WGAE’s Executive Director.
Compensation commensurate with experience, excellent benefit package.
