COMMITMENT: This position is currently grant-funded annually, but is intended to become a permanent staff-leader role.
The Central Labor Council of Nashville/Middle TN is a chartered organizations of the National AFL-CIO. It works to stimulate and coordinate communications and mobilization activity among affiliates and allies area-wide. We focus on supporting the legislative, political, organizing, and solidarity goals of the labor movement locally, statewide, and nationally. We are led by an elected President and are governed by an elected Executive Board.
NATURE OF POSITION:
The Affiliate & Community Engagement Coordinator is required to live in the organization's jurisdiction, operating from a central base and working throughout the area.This may be a temporary, grant-funded position. If so, our organization intends and expects to extend the position beyond the grant period, but such an extension is not guaranteed. Candidates who cannot commit to serve at least an entire one-year period will not be considered.
